Why Natural Health & Why EEM?
As I sat in my private Manhattan office on the 25th floor overlooking the Empire State Building surrounded by all the diplomas and certificates telling me what I’d achieved, I couldn’t help but think, “Is this it?”. I was 25 and had realized my dream of becoming a lawyer, landing my dream job in one of the greatest cities of the world and yet I felt utterly let down and empty.

“I am grateful to have found my calling in this work of walking with others as they find ways to feel better so that they can live healthily, happily and peacefully”
A couple of years at this “dream job” and I found myself depressed and trapped, having no idea what to do next, how to help myself or even who myself was. A stern talking to by my two loving sisters followed by a strict ultimatum that I either make some much needed changes in my life or else risk losing them was the impetus to embark on the journey of figuring out who I was and what it was I wanted to do that was meaningful and fulfilling.
My ensuing career(s) saw me in couture fashion, consulting, custom wall fittings and change management, and a handful of others. Each of these various lines of work taught me valuable skills, enabled me to meet and interact with many interesting people and invariably prepared me for my future. But the real work was happening internally, as I began searching for something to make me feel better.
Ultimately, it was my own quest to feel better that led me to natural health and the holistic approach, which views everything as interconnected and part of a single whole. When I came upon this idea of interconnection, it made so much sense and helped me understand and heal seemingly disparate symptoms for which relief was previously elusive.
Already trained in a number of complementary therapies, I “fell into” Eden Energy Medicine by signing up for what I thought was just a weekend course and was immediately hooked. Here was a modality that felt magical: by performing simple exercises, I, with my own hands, could effect a change in how I felt in just a few seconds. I loved that it gave me the tools and the power to work with myself, to observe how I felt before and after. With my own eyes I could and see, feel and experience improved conditions right away and cumulatively. This aspect of empowerment has become a cornerstone of my work with clients and is one of many aspects of this work that I love.
I am grateful to have found my calling in this work of walking with others as they find ways to feel better so that they can live healthily, happily and peacefully.
Why Avon & Arbor?
This name represents both a place and a process that I love. The name was inspired by a beautiful and peaceful natural setting in the southwest of England that sits upon the River Avon, surrounded by ancient trees. The water and trees also represent two of the Five Elements, water and wood, the others being fire, earth and metal. The Five Elements is a brilliant approach for understanding pretty much everything and everyone and for helping us interact better with other people, ourselves, our lives and our environments.
